Spain freezes arms agreements with “Israel”

MADRID, Oct. 24 (YPA) – The Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, confirmed that Madrid has frozen arms agreements with “Israel,” whether buying or selling.

Although there are still agreements that began before the Gaza War, Spain stopped arms agreements with Israel starting on October 7 last year, according to the Spanish newspaper “El Pais.”

Robles indicated that the government suspended all contracts for Israeli weapons and that last year only spare parts were contracted, which are still valid.

The Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustendo, sent a letter to Robles last Tuesday requesting the suspension of any ongoing arms sales contract with Israeli companies, but the Ministry of Defense confirmed that it had suspended arms agreements with “Israel” since October 7 last year.
