SANAA, July 19 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Thursday welcomed any French role to end the humanitarian tragedy the Yemeni people are experiencing for the fourth year in row due the continued aggression and siege.
This came during the meeting of the prime minister with the French ambassador to Yemen, Christian Testot, who is currently visiting Sanaa.
The meeting reviewed the humanitarian situation in Yemen due to the continuous aggression and siege for more than 1200 days, as well as the efforts led by the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to bring peace in Yemen.
It focused on France’s role in supporting efforts to end the suffering of the Yemeni people, for its important political position in the international arena.
The meeting also dealt with results of the humanitarian conference on Yemen, which was hosted recently by the French capital, Paris.
In the meeting, Dr. bin Habtoor confirmed the support of the Supreme Political Council and his government to the peace efforts exerted by the United Nations.
