Pro-Palestine protesters arrested in Minnesota university

SANAA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The American police arrested, on Tuesday, 11 pro-Palestinian protesters who were present at the University of Minnesota administration building.

CBS reported that 11 people were arrested after University of Minnesota officials issued an emergency alert yesterday, saying protesters had stormed Morrill Hall in Minneapolis.

The building, located on the East Bank campus, which is home to the university’s administrative headquarters.

The protest was organized by the University of Minnesota Students for a Democratic Society, which is calling on the university to divest from companies that support the Zionist entity, but the university’s board of directors rejected after weeks of pro-Palestinian demonstrations on campus.

Protesters have set up tents and supplies and said they plan to stay until their demands are met, whereas a video posted online showed chairs stacked in front of an outside door to the building.
