Hamas leader condemns Arab media for aligning with Israeli occupation

GAZA, OCt. 19 (YPA)- Sami Abu Zuhri, a leader in Hamas, condemned some Arab media outlets for adopting editorial policies that align with the Israeli occupation and its negative narrative.

In a press conference today, Abu Zuhri asserted that when Arab media align with the narrative of the occupation, they position themselves alongside the Zionist enemy.

His remarks followed the publication of a report by the Saudi channel “MBC” that described the leadership of the resistance as “terrorism.”

The report labeled Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, as a “terrorist and butcher of Khan Younis,” asserting that he was “the last to be eliminated by the world,” which sparked significant outrage on social media.

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemned the report aired by “MBC,” describing it as dark and inciting against the movement and its leadership.

It criticized the report as an instance of yellow journalism and a fifth column, demanding that the channel’s management swiftly retract this unprofessional content and eliminate the report from its platforms.

Hamas also demanded an apology for this report, which it said discredits the channel’s owners and management, rather than the resistance and its leaders who have sacrificed their blood for the liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa.

It called for a correction of this malign editorial approach that aligns with the occupation’s agenda and for more focus on the crimes and atrocities faced by the Palestinian people at the hands of the criminal Zionist entity.
