SANAA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – At least 100 people were killed, on Wednesday, and 50 injured when a fuel tanker exploded in northern Nigeria, according to the Nigerian Police.
“Many of the victims were trying to collect fuel that had spilled onto the road after the tanker was involved in an accident in northern Jigawa state,” police spokesman, Lawan Chiisu Adam, told AFP.
He added that, “We have confirmed the death of 94 people so far, and about 50 people were injured.”
