Military commander calls on people of southern governorates to declare armed struggle against new occupiers
SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The commander of the “Al-Wahbi Brigades”, Major General Bakil bin Saleh Al-Wahbi, affirmed that the October 14 Revolution is one of the most significant liberation revolutions against invaders and occupiers, as it faced and defeated the strongest global empires in the 1960s.
General al-Wahbi pointed out that the people of the southern governorates today have an opportunity to be inspired by the revolutionary spirit of October to expel the new occupiers and their tools, thwarting their plans and conspiracies.
He explained that following the path of struggle and resistance paved by their forefathers against the British occupier for more than 125 years—culminating in their dishonorable expulsion—is the sole route to securing independence, freedom, and a life of dignity.
“This effort is also crucial for freeing the southern governorates from the presence of the UAE and its collaborators,” he added.
“The occupier never brings good. What the southern governorates are experiencing—oppression, starvation, poverty, looting, violence, and killings—serves as clear proof of this,” he said, adding that “it is essential for everyone to uphold the banner of armed struggle to drive out the occupier, just as our forefathers did.”
