Spain calls on int’l community to stop selling weapons to Zionist entity

MADRID, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, called on the international community on Friday to stop selling weapons to the Zionist entity.

In a news statement, he denounced the Zionist attacks on the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) in Lebanon.

Sánchez added that Spain has stopped selling weapons to “Israel” since October 2023, calling on the world to take the same action to prevent further escalation in the region.

“I think it is urgent, given what is happening in the Middle East, for the international community to stop exporting weapons to the Israeli government,” he continued.

The Spanish Ministry of Defense announced that none of its soldiers participating in the UNIFIL force were injured. Spain has 650 peacekeeping soldiers deployed in Lebanon.

On Thursday, the UNIFIL forces announced that two of its soldiers were injured by Zionist bombings , and that its headquarters in Naqoura area, southern Lebanon, and neighboring sites were repeatedly bombed.
