GAZA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said on Wednesday, “At least 400,000 people are trapped in the northern Gaza Strip.”
Lazzarini explained in a post on the X platform today, Wednesday, that Israeli evacuation orders are forcing people to flee again and again, especially from the Jabalia camp.
He stated that a large number of Palestinians refuse to evacuate because they realize that there is no safe place in the Gaza Strip, indicating the spread and worsening of famine throughout the Strip with the lack of basic supplies.
UNRWA Commissioner revealed that some of the agency’s shelters and service centers were forced to close for the first time since the start of the war.
