HADRAMOUT, Oct. 05 (YPA) – Head of the Hadramout Tribal Alliance and Comprehensive Conference, Amr bin Habrish, stressed that “there is no comprehensive peace in Yemen except by sharing the Alliance in the political solution consultations as an independent party.”
This came during a video call that bin Habrish made with the UN Deputy Envoy to Yemen, Sarhad Fatah.
“The international community must deal with all parties regarding participation in the political process with unified and fair standards,” he called on. “We reject dealing with double standards.”
He pointed out that the Alliance’s position on the ground “is the most likely option in the equation,” indicating that Hadramout people suffer in various aspects of life due to the conditions that the citizens have reached.
Since the end of last July, the alliance has escalated to implement the demands of the people of Hadramout to obtain a percentage of the revenues from natural resources and to achieve political partnership in the Saudi-led coalition-funded government, similar to the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC, which claims to represent Hadramout.
