Updated statistics of Israeli genocidal war on Gaza issued

GAZA, Oct. 01 (YPA) – The Government Media Office in Gaza Strip issued on Monday evening an update on the statistics of the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation army on the Strip.

The statistics indicate that 86% of the Strip has been destroyed during 360 days of Zionist aggression.

The government media office explained in a statement that “the Israeli occupation forces committed 3,628 massacres, which led to the martyrdom of 51,615 people, including 16,891 children and 11,458 women.”

Regarding the targeting of medical personnel, the statement explained that 986 medical personnel and 174 journalists were martyred, which highlights the deliberate targeting of civilians and workers in the humanitarian sectors.

The media office’s data indicates that 10,000 people are still missing, while 520 bodies of martyrs have been recovered from seven mass graves that were built inside hospitals of the Strip.

About 96,359 people were wounded, including 396 journalists, while children and women constitute 69% of the total victims.

Gaza is suffering from a stifling humanitarian crisis, with 25,973 children living without one or both parents, while 3,500 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition and food shortages.

“For 146 days, all crossings into the Strip have been closed, and 12,000 wounded people need treatment abroad, including 10,000 cancer patients,” the statement said.

Health conditions are worsening, with 1,737,524 people infected with infectious diseases and 71,338 cases of hepatitis infection due to displacement, while 60,000 pregnant women are considered at risk due to lack of health care.

According to the statement, 201 government headquarters and 125 schools and universities were completely destroyed, with 11,500 male and female students killed, in addition to 750 teachers.

In the field of infrastructure, 150,000 housing units were completely destroyed, while 80,000 other units were damaged.
