Death toll from communication device explosions rises to 37 in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Sept. 19 (YPA) – The Lebanese Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abyad, said on Thursday that the death toll from wireless communications device explosions during the past two days reached 37 martyrs, with thousands of wounded.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Najib Mikati called on the Security Council to take a firm stance on the technological war waged by the Israeli occupation against Lebanon.

This came in press statements by Al-Abyad in the capital, Beirut, today, Thursday, in response to the explosions that occurred Tuesday and Wednesday in “Pager” and “AECOM” wireless devices in multiple areas in Lebanon.
