Albanese: Israel’s presence in Palestinian territories is illegal

SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Palestine, Francesca Albanese, said that the violence of the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank has reached unprecedented levels for decades.

Albanese stressed in a press statement on Monday that Israel’s presence in the Palestinian territories is illegal, calling on Western journalists to play their role and stop dehumanizing the Palestinians.

She pointed out that UNRWA was subjected to a smear campaign by “Israel” and other countries, and that there is something like a conspiracy to eliminate the agency.

“I am sounding the alarm not to turn a blind eye to what is happening to the Palestinian people under Israeli military rule,” Albanese added, stressing that the impunity that Israel has been given, gives it the right to violate international law.
