OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 15 (YPA) -The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army reported on Sunday that a missile launched from Yemen has reached central Israel without being intercepted.
There has been confusion and inconsistency in the statements from the occupation authorities and their media regarding the strike and the target it hit, but they have all confirmed the failure of the Israeli missile defense systems to intercept it.
The enemy’s media acknowledged that the Yemeni missile was very powerful and hypersonic, surpassing all defenses and hitting a military area in near Ben Gurion Airport.
According to the enemy’s media, more than 20 air defense missiles from the “Arrow” and “David’s Sling” systems were fired from occupied Jerusalem but failed to shoot down the Yemeni missile that targeted central occupied territories.
Israeli media noted that this is the first time a ballistic missile has reached the center of the country, and the military is investigating the failure to detect it before its arrival.
Israel Channel 12 admitted that Israeli air defenses failed to intercept the missile from Yemen.
For its part , the Israeli Channel 14 reported that the initial investigation by the Israeli Air Force indicates that all interceptors failed to intercept the Yemeni missile.
The “Hadashot 24” Hebrew website reported that a large number of different interceptors were fired at the incoming Yemeni missile but failed to intercept it.
Israeli Army Radio mentioned that the Israeli Air Force is investigating the reasons behind the failure to intercept the missile from Yemen.
The “Magen David Adom” medical service reported nine were injured while scrambling to shelters following the missile strike in central Israel, east of occupied Yaffa.
Sirens sounded this morning in occupied Yaffa , which the occupation refers to as “Tel Aviv,” and throughout central occupied Palestine.
The target appeared to be the ‘Gezer’ power plant, 6 kilometers from Ben Gurion airport.
The missile reportedly traveled 1,800 kilometers in 15 minutes, with all interception attempts failing.
Hebrew media reports that around 2 million Israelis sought shelter. The extent of damage and the specific type of missile used remain unknown.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have not yet announced any operation against the occupation entity. However, Yemen has vowed to retaliate against the aggression that targeted the power station and fuel tanks at the port of Hodeida in July.
