WORLD, Sept. 12 (YPA) – During his visit to Ukraine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken did not clarify whether Washington will permit Ukraine to strike Russian territory with weapons supplied by the US.
At a press conference in Kiev on Wednesday, Blinken stated: “We had discussions with Foreign Minister [Dmytro] Kuleba, President Zelensky, and his team about the situation on the battlefield, Ukraine’s objectives, and what is needed to achieve success.”
He added that the issue of long-range weapons was among the various topics discussed.
Blinken confirmed that he will return to Washington to brief President Joe Biden on the details of the talks held in Kiev, and that Biden will meet with Zelensky on Friday at the United Nations.
