SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) in Sanaa referred on Monday 17 defendants in serious corruption cases to the Anti-Corruption Prosecution.
This came after the SNACC held a meeting to discuss the results of the investigation into a number of serious corruption cases.
This decision followed a meeting of the Authority, during which it reviewed the results of investigations into several major corruption cases. The total estimated damage in these cases amounts to $69,591,000 and 321,800,000 Yemeni rials.
In response, the SNACC has taken measures against the accused, including suspension from their duties and freezing assets equivalent to the amount of public funds harmed.
The meeting also examined further corruption cases and mandated that investigations into these issues proceed according to legal protocols.
