ADEN, Aug. 26 (YPA) – A group of donkeys were seen in the forefront of a protest demonstration on Monday in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen, demanding the provision of drinking water to the old city.
Hundreds of residents of Shu’ab al-Aidroos neighborhood in the Crater area came out demanding the provision of water to the neighborhood, which has been without water for more than a month.
Angry protesters roamed the streets of Crater towards the Water Corporation headquarters, amid chants demanding a solution for the water problem.
Hundreds of people in many neighborhoods have brought donkeys from rural areas over the past years to use them as a means of carrying water to their homes from long distances.
