“Hadramout Tribal Alliance” imposes new price for selling diesel by force of arms

HADRAMOUT, Aug. 12 (YPA) – The “Hadramout Tribal Alliance” imposed on Monday a new price for the sale of diesel to all citizens and seeks to implement it by force in all districts of the Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

A statement issued by the alliance confirmed that it is moving to supply the local market with sufficient quantities of diesel locally produced by “PetroMasila,” provided that the value of one liter does not exceed 700 riyals for the citizen as a fixed price to enjoy some of his country’s bounties.

The statement pointed out that this price would reflect positively on society in various aspects of life, with the price of a 20-liter gallon being equal to 14,000 riyals, amid widespread welcome for the decision.

This comes after the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition imposed three successive doses on the prices of oil derivatives since the beginning of this year 2024 in Hadramout and the rest of the southern provinces.

The pro-coalition government had reiterated imposing the dose in Marib province, which is under the control of the Islah Party, under pressure from tribes at the end of last year.
