CAMA calls on travel agencies to renew licenses for 2024 within two weeks

SANAA, Aug. 06 (YPA) -The Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA ),  has called on all travel agencies and offices operating in Yemen to promptly submit applications for licensing or renewal of licenses for 2024 and to meet all required conditions and standards to ensure continued service to the public.

In a circular, the authority emphasized that travel agencies and offices must renew their licenses within two weeks from the date of the notice.

“Failure to do so will result in legal actions, including the closure of non-compliant agencies, in order to protect passengers’ rights and contribute to organizing the travel market and ensuring reliable and safe services for all citizens,” the circular read.

The Civil Aviation Authority also warned all airlines operating in Yemen, automated booking systems, and approved travel agencies against dealing with any unlicensed travel agencies for 2024, emphasizing that they will be held legally responsible for any violations related to such agencies.

The authority urged citizens who wish to purchase travel tickets to verify that the agencies and travel offices are licensed by the authority to safeguard their rights.

It also mentioned that an updated list of licensed agencies and offices has been published on the authority’s website.
