SANAA, July 24 (YPA) – The Undersecretary of the General Authority for Aviation and Civil Meteorology in Sanaa, Raed Jabal, welcomed Egypt’s statement regarding the recent agreement between Sanaa and Riyadh on the resumption of flights between Sanaa and Cairo airports.
Jabal said in a press statement on Wednesday: “Sanaa sent an invitation to the Egyptian aviation authorities to resume flights between Sanaa and Cairo airports for Yemeni Airlines as well as for Egyptian carriers.”
He explained that the recent Muscat agreement included many positive aspects in the files of patients and travelers, noting that the agreement stipulated an increase in the number of flights from Sanaa Airport to Amman by three flights per day, two flights per day to Cairo and India, or according to need.
The Undersecretary of the General Authority for Aviation stressed that Yemeni Airlines is concerned with re-evaluating ticket prices and unifying them between all Yemeni airports and for all Yemeni citizens.
He stated that Sanaa International Airport is a main station for the company and the main maintenance center according to the company’s establishment protocol and must be dealt with on this basis.
