Yemeni riyal records slight recovery in southern provinces

SANAA, July 23 (YPA) – The exchange rates of foreign currencies against Yemeni riyal witnessed on Tuesday a slight decline in the city of Aden and the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen.

This came against the backdrop of the recent agreement between Sanaa and Riyadh, which included canceling the recent decisions of the Central Bank in Aden and other topics related to the resumption of flights to Jordan via Sanaa Airport with new destinations to Cairo and India.

Economic sources in Aden stated Tuesday evening that the exchange rate of the US dollar recoded 1,893 and the Saudi riyal 494 riyals.

In Sanaa, the Central Bank of Yemen published a circular containing the maximum selling prices for major currencies as follows:

Saudi riyal to Yemeni riyal = 140 Yemeni riyals

US dollar to Yemeni riyal = 530.50 Yemeni riyals

US dollar to Saudi riyal = 3.79 Saudi riyals.
