UNRWA: Gaza children face shocks and trauma every day

GAZA, July 22 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), has said that the Gaza children face shocks and trauma every day.

In a post on its “X” on Sunday, UNRWA confirmed that its teams continue their efforts to provide them with mental health support despite constant challenges.

It added that its employees in Khan Yunis organized today “activities for unaccompanied children to allow them to play like children again.”

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has launched a war on the Gaza Strip resulting in tens of thousands of martyrs, wounded and missing, in addition to the displacement of two million people and a massive destruction to homes and infrastructures, which affected more than 70% of the buildings in the coastal enclave, amid a tight siege, a suffocating humanitarian crisis, and an unprecedented famine, especially in Gaza City and northern Gaza.
