Israeli officer found murdered in his home in Al-Quds

OCCUPIED QUDS, July 08 (YPA) – Israeli police found on Monday an officer working in the Prison Service killed in his apartment northwest of Al-Quds in the occupied West Bank.

The police said in a written statement: “Several police forces were called this afternoon (Monday) to the Giv’on Hahadasha area, following the discovery of the body of a prison service officer inside his apartment, after a fire broke out inside.”

“During the initial investigation procedures, suspicions increased that the background of the accident was criminal, as severe wounds were observed on his body,” the police added.

In the details, the official Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation said that the officer was in his forties and “his body was found with signs of stab wounds and a knife stuck in his neck in his house.”

The broadcasting corporation explained that the officer “has not contacted his family since Saturday, did not report to duty, and did not answer phones, so people from the Prison Service came to his house, and they noticed that the house was closed and smelled of fire, so they called the police and firefighters.”

It continued: “Firefighters stormed the smoke-filled house, and Magen David Adom forces announced his death immediately, as a result of stab wounds to the neck and abdomen.”

Later, the Israeli police announced a ban on publishing any additional details related to the incident.
