OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 07 (YPA) – Israel has presented new demands that could hinder negotiations on a ceasefire and prisoner exchange with Hamas, potentially prolonging the process, the Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” reported, citing an unnamed foreign source.
The source reportedly stated that Hamas had initially agreed to Israel’s latest position, but Israel introduced new issues during Friday’s meeting.
The newspaper reported that Israel has taken a “firm stance” in the negotiations, and several media outlets have indicated that Israeli sources estimate the talks may continue for about three weeks.
Meanwhile, the Hebrew website “Walla” reported that a delegation from Hamas met with Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut and informed him of their agreement to a ceasefire.
