Ministry of Health in Gaza recovers bodies of 14 Palestinians from areas west of Rafah

GAZA, July 05 (YPA) – The Civil Defense and Ministry of Health teams recovered the bodies of 14 Palestinians from the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, where they belong to different families.

The civil defense teams were unable to recover the bodies in areas of incursion by the Israeli occupation forces.

“Anatolia” quoted medical sources as saying that citizens and civil defense crews recovered at dawn on Friday the bodies of four Palestinians from the “Tel Al-Sultan” and “Al-Saudi” neighborhoods, west of Rafah.

The sources added that the dead belonged to different families, as some of them arrived decomposed, which indicates that they were killed several days ago, noting that on Thursday evening, crews recovered the bodies of 10 dead from Tel al-Sultan, and they are still unidentified.

More than once, local authorities said that civil defense and medical teams were unable to recover the dead and injured from areas into which the Israeli army was penetrating in the city of Rafah for fear of being targeted, as happened in previous incidents.

In another context, the Israeli occupation forces announced on Friday the continuation of their ground operations in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
