Blockade on Qatar is considered as a conspiracy: German Defense Minister says

SANAA, July 15 (YPA) – German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen praised Qatar for its full involvement in the efforts of the international coalition against extremist organizations.

This came during an interview with al-Sharq newspaper in the sideline of her participation in NATO meetings.

She said that “Qatar is subjected to a plot by some of its neighbors to undermine its security and stability .”

Qatar is an important NATO member and has been exposed to a crisis that we know its details, causes, and purpose, as most of the leaders participating in the current NATO summit are aware as mediators in this crisis, she added.

The German minister stressed that the State of Qatar has special military capabilities and diverse expertise, as well as it has the ability to deal with the difficult geographical nature of Afghanistan and the Iraqi border.

She added that her country is aware of the dimensions of the threats that besiege the Middle East, pointing out that Berlin is working with its allies to maintain and restore security and stability in the Middle East region.
