Widespread dust sweeps six Yemeni provinces

SANAA, July 03 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected widespread dust in the deserts of Hadramout, Mahra, and parts of the provinces of Aden, Shabwa, Taiz, and Lahj on Wednesday.

The center also predicted in its forecast weather bulletin during the next 24 hours that scattered rains of varying intensity are expected, with hailstones falling occasionally, in parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda, Dhamar, Rayma, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.

The center indicated the possibility of scattered rains with thunderstorms in Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Mahweet, Sanaa, and areas of the Tihama Plain.

The Meteorology and Early Warning Center warned citizens against exposure to dust, especially the elderly, children, and those suffering from chest diseases in areas where dust is present.

It also warned against presence in the depths of valleys and flood paths and against thunderstorms in mountain highlands where rain is expected.
