Former Pentagon Advisor: US will be forced to abandon global Hegemony

WORLD, July 02 (YPA) – Douglas Macgregor, former Pentagon advisor in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, affirmed that the United States will be forced to relinquish its dominance over the world.

In an interview with the “Deep Dive” channel on YouTube, Macgregor stated, “We, the United States, need a new approach to deal with the rest of the world.”

He continued, “We need to make it very clear that as long as there is no direct attack on us or on our vital strategic interests, which still need to be defined, we will not use military force.”

Macgregor added, “The whole world is tired of us using American armed forces for reasons both good and bad.”

According to him, Washington will have to abandon “global military dominance” due to funding constraints.

He believes that the decision-makers in the US administration “do not understand reality and live in a parallel world.”

Macgregor concluded by saying, “Washington still thinks we are the same country as in 1991, and still believes that Russia is weak. We have lost control, and nobody trusts us. That’s what Russian President Vladimir Putin recently tried to say.
