One killed, eight injured as IED planted in motorcycle explodes in Marib

MARIB, June 24 (YPA) -A powerful explosion occurred Sunday evening on the outskirts of Marib city, which is under coalition control, leaving casualties and injuries.

Local sources reported that the explosion was caused by an explosive device planted in a motorcycle, which detonated near the Al-Da’wah Mosque in the Al-Husun area of Wadi Obeida.

According to the sources, the explosion left one dead and eight wounded..

This incident comes amid ongoing conflict between Muslim Brotherhood leaders (Islah Party) in Marib and Affash family, following a post by the head of the Islah Party in Marib, Mabkhout Al-Sharif, accusing Affash family of recruiting espionage cells in the city of Marib.
