Five Palestinians killed in Israeli bombing of central, western Gaza City

GAZA, June 23 (YPA) – At least five Palestinian civilians were killed and several others injured early this morning following Israeli air and artillery strikes targeting central and western areas of Gaza City.

Palestinian sources reported that three citizens were killed and others, including children and women, were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building near Al-Jawhara Tower in central Gaza City.

In a similar attack, two citizens were killed and others injured when an Israeli airstrike hit a house in Al-Shati refugee camp in western Gaza City.

Additionally, Israeli artillery intermittently shelled central and southern Rafah, while Israeli warplanes targeted a house in northern Rafah.

According to health sources, the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on various residential areas in Gaza City yesterday has risen to 43, with dozens more injured.
