Meteorology expects heat-wave targeting Yemen areas

SANAA, June 10 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected partly cloudy, warm and humid weather in coastal areas, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35-41 degrees Celsius.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the weather in the mountainous highlands may be fair to partly cloudy and relatively hot during the day, with a chance to fall scattered rain in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Abyan, Lahj, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah and western Dhamar.

According to the center, the atmosphere in the desert areas would be clear, dry, and very hot during the day, with maximum temperatures ranging between 41-45 degrees Celsius, and moderate-speed winds.

It called on citizens to avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
