Protests held in several European cities in support of Gaza

WORLD, June 10 (YPA) – Many European cities witnessed demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people and condemnation of the ongoing Zionist attacks on the Gaza Strip.

In the German capital Berlin, security forces detained at least 20 protesters during a rally attended by thousands in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

They chanted slogans such as “Israel kills children,” “Israel is a terrorist state,” “Stop the ceasefire now,” and “Germany funds, Israel bombs.”

In a statement to reporters, police spokesperson Anja Dierschke, said that more than 20 protesters were detained for various reasons.

In the Austrian capital Vienna, activists staged a protest outside a McDonald’s restaurant, urging passersby to boycott the restaurant chain for allegedly supporting Zionist authorities in their war on Gaza.

The activists distributed Palestinian cuisine such as falafel and hummus to passersby, highlighting that Israel is trying to ignore and erase Palestinian culinary culture.

The city of Turin in northern Italy also witnessed protests against Zionist attacks on Gaza.

Demonstrators held banners reading “Stop the genocide” and chanted slogans such as “We are all against Zionism” and “Free Palestine.”
