Sanaa-based Central Bank announces mechanism to compensate citizens in Yemen’s south

SANAA, June 05 (YPA) – Sanaa-based Central Bank of Yemen announced on Tuesday a mechanism to compensate the amounts of legal banknotes that has currently circulated in the coalition-held southern provinces.

The bank declared this step came on based on Law No. (14) of 2000 regarding the Central Bank of Yemen, and its announcement issued on 05/31/2024 regarding compensating the amounts of legal banknotes with their corresponding real values in illegal cash.
