Yemen Army repels infiltration in Jizan

JIZAN, July 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Sunday repelled an infiltration attempt of the Saudi-backed militias in Jizan province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official added that the militias tried to restore Saudi villages and sites were taken by the army at  MBC and Dowd Mountains in Jizan but were foiled by the army.

The official confirmed that dozens of the militias were killed and others injured in their failed infiltration.

The official indicated that the Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched several air strikes to back its militias during their failed attempt to make progress on the ground east of Jabal Dowd.
