SANAA, June 03 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology called on citizens in the desert areas to warn of the burning sunshine as a result of the high temperature.
The center, in its weather forecast, expected extremely hot weather expected in desert areas and inland plateaus to be coincided with maximum temperatures ranging between 39 to 44 degrees Celsius, and moderate to active northeasterly winds stirring dust and sand.
The center stated that the weather in the coastal areas, plains, and Socotra archipelago may be hot and humid, with maximum temperatures getting to 36-40 degrees Celsius, and active winds on the Socotra archipelago, reaching a speed of 25 knots, and light to moderate. Speed on the eastern coast and the Gulf of Aden.
The weather forecast also expected the partly cloudy weather, with scattered rain falling on parts of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, and Dhalea.
