Pro- Islah head of Intelligence of Taiz axis escapes assassination attempt

TAIZ, June 01 (YPA) – An official in the military intelligence of the Islah Party survived an assassination attempt on Saturday using an explosive device south of Taiz Governorate.

Media sources said that the so- called head of the Intelligence Division in the Taiz axis affiliated with Islah Party, Abdo Qasim Al-Buhairi, was seriously injured due to an attempt to assassinate him using an explosive device that targeted his car near his home in the Al- Aqroud area.

The sources added that the explosion damaged Al-Buhairi’s car in the middle of the road to the Al- Matali area, as a result of which two of his companions were injured, one of whom was in serious condition.

The sources did not reveal the health condition of the leader Al-Buhairi, amid accusations of elements loyal to the leader affiliated with the Emirates, “Ammar Afash,” of killing the Islah leaders in the Taiz axis.
