Hundreds of people stage protest in front of White House against Israeli aggression on Gaza, Rafah invasion
WORLD, May 30 (YPA) – Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the White House in the US capital Tuesday to protest the Israeli occupation’s attack on a tent camp in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, calling on the US government to end funding of Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip.
According to US media outlets, the protesters carried banners saying “Free Palestine,” “End All US Funding of Israeli Apartheid,” “All Eyes on Rafah” and “Stop This Slaughter.”
The protestors chanted “Stop bombing Rafah now” and “End the occupation now.”
The protest was supported by several pro-Palestine groups including the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Party for Socialism and Liberation and Maryland for Palestine.
After seven months of the American-Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, the United States has been witnessing wider demonstrations across various regions, demanding an end to the genocide against Palestinians, of whom 36,171 have been killed most of them women and children.
