Scattered showers to be expected in several areas of Yemen

SANAA, May 16 (YPA) – Scattered showers may be expected to prevail over several areas of provinces of Yemen, according to the National Center of Meteorology on Thursday.

In its weather forecast, the center said the rains would fall on parts of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Bayda, in addition to Lahj, Abyan, Hadramaut, and Mahra.

The center pointed out that the hot weather in the deserts and coastal plains, where maximum temperatures may range between 38 to 43 degrees Celsius.

It warned citizens in desert areas and coastal plains against extremely hot weather, calling on not to be exposed directly to scorching sunshine.
