SANAA, May 10 (YPA) -The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin on Friday that it expects heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of parts of the governorates of Amran, Hajjah, Mahwit, and Ibb.
Rain of varying intensity expected to fall on the governorates of Saada, Sanaa, Bayda, Dhamar, Taiz, Dhalea, and the Tihama Plain, the center said.
It is also expected that scattered rains may fall on the highlands of the governorates of Jawf, Marib, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and parts of the eastern, southern, and western coasts and the corresponding inland areas, the weather bulletin read.
According to weather bulletin, a hot weather is expected in desert and coastal areas.
The Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to occur from the flow of torrents into valleys and advised against crossing them, being in their streams, or crossing land bridges, especially when torrents are flowing.
