Six people were killed, 11 others wounded in Abyan attack

ABYAN, April 29 (YPA) – Nearly 6 people were killed and 11 others wounded, including leaders of the forces loyal to the UAE, on Monday in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Local sources in the province said that Al-Qaeda members in Abyan targeted a military vehicle belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces with an explosive device in Al-Qouz area, east of the Mudiyah district.

This comes after a similar attack by the STC targeted a military vehicle of the so-called Shabwa Defense Forces in the Al-Musaina area in al-Seid district, south of the city of Ataq in Shabwa province, wounding two soldiers.
