Pro-UAE factions deprive thousands of poor people of bread in Aden

ADEN, April 28 (YPA) –  The Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions loyal to the UAE closed on Saturday the charitable bakery funded by international organizations in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Informed sources reported that the leader of the STC factions, Kamal Al-Hailmi, directed his elements to close the charitable bakery of the “Muslim Hands” organization, which has been operating for four years, demanding the payment of royalties estimated at three million riyals in exchange for allowing the bakery to operate.

The STC elements kidnapped a bakery worker named Hadar Amin Othman Ayadi and took him to an unknown destination, according to the source.
The sources explained that the closure of the bakery, which produces approximately 50,000 loaves daily, deprived hundreds of poor families of widows, orphans, and people with special needs from a loaf of bread.

The organization’s officials are moving to permanently close the bakery in Aden due to the harassment and irresponsible actions taken by the STC members.

The “Muslim Hands” organization is headquartered in the British city of Nottingham and works in 40 countries around the world to help those affected by natural disasters, conflict, and poverty.
