GAZA, April 27 (YPA) – The United Nations has estimated it needs 37 million tons to remove the volume of rubble and destruction that the Israeli aggression has caused in Gaza Strip.
“We estimated that there were 37 million tons of rubble, or about 300 kilograms of rubble per square meter, in the Gaza Strip, which before the war was densely populated and urban,” UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) official, Per Ludhammar, said in a news statement.
He noted that 65% among the destroyed buildings in the Strip are residential buildings, adding that the remove of rubble would take 14 years, assuming the use of about a hundred trucks.
The occupation forces continue to commit the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, for the 204th straight day, by launching dozens of air strikes and artillery shelling, which have led to committing bloody massacres against civilians and horrific crimes in the areas of incursion, amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions as a result of the siege and the displacement of most of the population.
