Pro-coalition “government” abandons people of Hadramout, Mahra

HADRAMOUT, April 22 (YPA) – Citizens found an unidentified body of a citizen near the flood stream in the city of Al-Qatn in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, on Sunday.

Local sources reported that citizens were unable to identify the identity of the person who drowned in the torrential rains, indicating that the body was recovered and placed in Al-Qatn Hospital to be presented to the competent authorities to identify the drowned person.

Most areas of Hadramout and Mahra provinces witnessed heavy rains and floods as a result of the effects of the tropical condition and the depression during the past few days, without the “government” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition taking any significant measures to protect citizens.

Citizens complain that the “government” has abandoned them. They face a catastrophic fate as a result of the torrential rains that swept the two provinces last week, causing huge human and material losses without providing the simplest shelter and food assistance to the people.
