National Center of Meteorology calls relevant authorities to take measures to protect lives, property

SANAA, April 21 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected rainfall of varying intensity with thundery storms to fall in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.

The Center called on the relevant authorities, each according to their position and specialty, to take the necessary measures to protect lives and property.

The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects thundery rain of varying intensity, some of which will be heavy, leading to the flow of torrents, sometimes accompanied by hailstones, in the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhale’a, Bayda, Lahj, and Abyan highlands.

According to the center, scattered rain may fall on parts of the southern and western coasts and the Socotra archipelago.

The Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to occur from the flow of torrents into valleys and advised against crossing them, being in their streams, or crossing land bridges, especially when torrents are flowing.
