AMMAN, April 19 (YPA) – Hundreds of people gathered in the Jordanian capital, Amman near the Israeli embassy on Friday for a protest in support of Palestinians in Gaza.
Protesters held signs and chanted slogans in support of Palestinians.
They also chanted slogans against the United States, considering it “the head of terrorism and a key partner in the Israeli war.”
Protesters accused the United States of “killing and exterminating thousands of Gaza residents”, demanding a trial of Washington and Tel Aviv for their crimes in Gaza.
They also condemned the US veto that ended a long-shot Palestinian bid for full United Nations membership.
On Thursday, The United States vetoed a draft resolution at the UN Security Council (UNSC), which recommended granting the State of Palestine full membership in the United Nations.
The US was the only member who voted against the resolution. The rest of the vote in the 15-member Security Council was 12 in favour and two abstentions – the UK and Switzerland.
