Meteorology warns of heat wave targeting desert areas

SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology warned on Monday a warm wave targeting desert provinces of Yemen.

In its weather forecast, the center pointed out that the wave may target the desert areas of Shabwa, Mahra and Hadramout, with the scattered light rainfall.

The forecast affirmed that partly cloudy to cloudy weather will prevail in the mountain highlands, with the possibility of rainfall in parts of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb and Taiz, in addition, Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Bayda, Dhalea, Shabwa and Lahj.

It called on motorists to drive carefully on mountain roads of reduced visibility as a result of rain and fog formation.
