WORLD, April 12 (YPA) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gahr Støre expressed their countries’ readiness to recognize the Palestinian state.
In a joint press conference in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, Sanchez affirmed that coordination with Norway sends a message toward a solution that provides Israelis and Palestinians with a future in line with peace.
He stressed Spain’s readiness to recognize the state of Palestine as soon as possible and grant it full membership in the United Nations.
Sanchez added that there are clear indications of Europe’s readiness to recognize a Palestinian state.
Meanwhile, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre affirmed his country’s readiness to recognize a Palestinian state and support its membership in the United Nations.
This comes amid the Israeli occupation army’s continued massacre for the 189th consecutive day, as part of the genocide war against the people of Gaza, targeting inhabited homes, medical teams, and journalists.
The death toll from the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 33,634, most of whom were women and children. The number of injured has so far reached 76,214.
