Early warning expects heavy rains, fog formation in highlands

SANAA, April 11 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected on Thursday rain of varying intensity in several provinces, fog formation in the western highlands and inland plateaus, and hot weather in deserts and coastal plains during the next 24 hours.

The center said in its daily weather bulletin that it expects rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, to fall in parts of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz and Dhalea.

Scattered rain may fall on the highlands of the provinces of Marib, Jawf, Lahj, Saada and Bayda.

The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to fall in the depths of valleys and flood paths during and after the rain.

It also warned vehicle drivers on mountain roads of reduced horizontal visibility due to rain, low clouds, and fog formation, and advised against crossing ground bridges during the flow of torrential rains.
