GAZA, April 06 (YPA) – Hamas Movement said on Saturday that it would sent its delegation to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to participate in negotiations regarding the truce “in response to Egypt’s invitation.”
The movement added, in a brief statement on the “Telegram” platform, that the delegation, headed by the member of the movement’s political bureau, Khalil Al-Hayya will head to Cairo on Sunday.
The statement stressed that the demands of the Palestinian people and their national forces are for a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation forces from Gaza, the return of the displaced to their residence, and the freedom of movement of citizens, with a serious prisoner exchange deal.
Earlier, the White House said that early next week, Cairo would host a new round of discussions for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, with the participation of American officials, pointing out that CIA Director William Burns would head a American delegation.
