Prisoner Club: Israeli occupation forces arrest 66 journalists, including 4 female journalists

RAMALLAH, April 03 (YPA) – The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said that the number of female journalists in the Israeli occupation prisons rose to four with the arrest of journalist Asma Noah Harish (32 years old) at dawn Wednesday from her home in Ramallah.

The club added that the number of journalists arrested after last October 7 reached 66 male and female journalists, and the occupation kept detaining 45 of them, including four female journalists, the last of whom was the journalist “Harish”.

The club stated in its statement that the arrest of journalist Harish is in addition to the arrest of her father, Noah, and her brother, Ahmed.

The Prisoner’s Club explained that this escalation comes within the framework of the widespread arrest campaigns carried out by the occupation army after October 7; among them are the arrests of women, which have recently increased significantly, including female journalists.

During the month of March and until today, the occupation has arrested three female journalists: former prisoner Bushra Al-Taweel, who was transferred to administrative detention, and Rula Hassanein, who is married and the mother of a 9-month-old daughter, was also arrested, in addition to journalist Harish.
