OCCUPIED PALESTINE, April 01 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 22 Palestinians, including four women, from different areas across the occupied West Bank, bringing the total number of Palestinians detained since October 7th to about 7920.
The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) stated that the detention operations focused on occupied Jerusalem. The remaining detentions took place in the governorates of Ramallah, Jenin, Tubas, Tulkarem, Hebron and Bethlehem.
Among the 7920 Palestinians who were detained since October 7th, are those who were detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure and those who were taken as hostages.
The Commission and PPS reported that the ongoing and escalating detention operations that began after October 7th, which targeted children, women, the elderly and the sick came as part of the comprehensive Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Palestinian people and its ongoing genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
